Once upon a time, there was a large parking lot, a neighborhood without residents, a link that was transformed into a place conducive to the development of life. A construction site that transformed barren soil into a grove, a mound into a playground and a meeting place.

In Les Vernets, everyday life unfolds in places with multiple and lively characters.

New architecture creates landmarks among the trees. The neighborhood restaurant hosts a concert in the rain shelter, while the neighborhood theater performs at the Vernets swimming pool. These structures offer hospitality to residents of neighboring neighborhoods in an inclusive diversity.

Although teeming with life, the canopy park remains a place conducive to relaxation and sport. The wide variety of facilities create spaces suitable for numerous activities, and the hills and water features encourage intergenerational play.

The Belle Canopée project is inspired by nature. It seeks to amplify existing ecosystems and create new ones. In order to respect the environment, materials are reused as much as possible on site and are used to create volumes or construct new structures. The new coatings promote high porosity to encourage the sponge city principle.
