In a small chalet, on a small plot of land perched on a gentle mountain, lived a man who dreamed of wide-open spaces. The property, narrow as it was, allowed for expansion on just one side. This is where the project deployed a simple volume adjoining the chalet. This allowed the creation of a living room opening onto a covered terrace, and the transformation of two existing rooms into bedrooms. The new volume is based on the existing structure, with a concrete base to retain the land, on which a wooden chalet with vertical cladding sits. In this way, the two entities merge. The living room is very open to the outside world, at one with the landscape from which the Alps emerge.
